This place was amazing!! So quaint and very inviting. Food was absolutely delicious.
The wine, food, customer service, atmosphere all excellent.
My portion of the grouper I ordered was very small and I am not a big eater!

Great Food.
I have dined at this restaurant before and had a pleasant experience. This last time, I was not greeted upon entry and a customer whom arrived after me, received service before me.
The food was excellent, the service wasn't. The waitress was not very friendly and did not say thank you or come again. She put my food in a bag and walked away.
I pay with my phone so would like Samsung Pay also, I think the lady got mad at me because she had to write down the restaurant coupon number and my $850 phone with credit card and bank information was not leaving my side, if she drops it then what.
The pulled pork sandwich was perfect and the juice of the day was delightfully refreshing

The food was excellent.The serving portion was large enough for us to take some home for another meal.
I'm visiting from out of town and I was informed they stayed open late but they were close although they did serve me to go.
The service was poor. Very dimly lit. But this could be me. As I notice several regulars. My foodie group is going there so I will give it another shot.

We love it at the Sportsman. The service is superb, the food delicious, and it is a quiet setting where we can visit without distraction.
The Sportsman has consistently great food and drinks. It has a small town, old timey atmosphere...hasn't changed much in 30 years. We love it!
Had never been to this restaurant, but will defintely return. Every diner had a different choice , and they were all very good. Portions were almost to large, had an appetizer and meal and took quite a bit hoe with us, nothing wrong with that.
The staff efficiently accommodated our party of 9 in a quiet corner of the room. We were able to hear our conversations without shouting. The wait staff were cordial and helpful. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. They handled the prepaid certificate with no hassle.
It was fine, but they didn't come to check on us / refill water (I ran out), and they don't serve papadan? But we like this place, right on Newbury St, nice sitting outside, or pretty inside (with candles at night)
