I had dinner here with my ten-year-old daughter, and the experience was uncommonly, unexpectedly, wonderful. We were treated great. As soon as we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming and cozy. It was a cold, rainy, dark night, and my daughter exclaimed immediately, "it smells so good here. And it's WARM!" We were seated in a corner booth, and enjoyed discussing the various decorations. Our food was delicious, and the portions were generous - especially for my daughter's fettuccine alfredo from the children's menu. Our server was sweet and thoughtful. We were brought a basket with two types of bread (including some variation of garlic bread that was fabulous). My daughter's meal included a small ice cream. She noted also that our seats actually were wiped down for us. Afterward, I enjoyed discussing the history of the restaurant and its place in the area with one of the owners. Anyway, we had a special night, and I'm thankful and wanted to say a word about it.
The staff is so nice and friendly. They make you feel like you are part of the family. The food is beyond excellent. It's what YUM is all about.
A nice NY style Italian restaurant, nothing fancy, but a good meal for a fair price.

The food and service is always exceptional. They were short staffed today and the gm waited on our table to help out the server. Great teamwork
Service was slow to start as they were busy and short staffed. No one even acknowledged us for 15 or more minutes.
server gave the appearance of being rushed. Items brought to the table did not have a good presentation look to them. IE: Wilted lettuce below salami on antipasto plate. Salad was not pretty either. Lots of wilted old looking lettuce and 1 really sad looking halved cherry tomato. Server never came back to check on us after delivering food?

Server was exceptional! Food has been stepped up to a fantastic new sauce, salads actually look like salads, foccacia bread remade to be amazing!
Better ice cream (or gelato!) and chocolate as s flavor choice, for sure!Servers should box the leftovers fir guests instead of just dropping the boxes off at the table.
Always my favorite Italian cusine. That includes anywhere on the planet. Portions are very generous and cooked to perfection each and every time. The family run business is so friendly we feel like long time family members too. A must try for all of you that haven't yet. You won't regret it. Enjoy

Good food, served fresh and timely ... price is s little high and for what you pay, you'd expect that the servers could put your leftovers into the to go box for you instead of dropping the box off for the customer to deal with ...
Service was really good. The restaurant needs updated desperately, but the food is so good it's ok to overlook the shabby feel.
server was excellent, food has not been consistent from visit to visit. raviolis tasted like they were frozen and hard, No flavor. Spaghetti was excellent as well as the meatball!. Love the new artisan facossia bread. Salad lettuce was huge and didn't have the extra veges as time previous. Time previous looked like a salad mic with baby greens, this time looked similar to iceberg lettuce. Dissapointing
The food tasted good and the service was good. We had a ravioli dish and the waitress asked if we wanted it covered with cheese or just sauce. Didn't know there was an extra cost for those things, it would be nice if she'd said something about that.
The food, as always, was well prepared and quite tasty in addition to being attractively presented. While I have been going to DeNicolas for over 30 years, this was my boyfriends first time and he really enjoyed the family atmosphere and loved the food.
had not been in for over 2 years due to the way we were treated when we paid our bill with the restaurant.com coupon. Food was mediocre at best then. Very surprised at the food turn around. salad used real greens and good blue cheese dressing. bread delicious. sauce and pasta so very good. no hassle at checkout or being made to feel bad. also nice having the restaurant lit better inside (maybe work on the parking lot next- pretty dark out there in the evenings)
Italian food made by real Italians, not like Olive Garden. Excellent sauces, pasta, and the food NEVER disappoints.

Excellent German food. Love, love the house salad...all 10 of us. We all had different entrées, sampled each and were highly impressed with all of them. Highly recommend the diner experience here. Scott was terrific, efficient, funny and friendly.
I love their "Baked Rigatoni w/meat sauce". It's amazing!
The waiter did not understand the Restaurant.com certificate and wanted to charge the minimum spending price PER PERSON instead of per check.
Considering we were the only diners - it took over 45 min to get our food
Food is always good. Service was good, not excellent (should have checked back more often. Especially to explain why m entrée was taking 30-minutes to arrive.
Try the baked rigatoni with meat sauce. Its amazing!
a group of six us of stayed overnight after attending a wine and food festival at the holiday inn and also attended the chowderfest the next day. bookmakers could not have been nicer. the other 2 couples we were with also had coupons and the manager allowed us all to sit at the same table and use our coupons for the breakfast buffet since we all has stayed the night. most importantly, shelly, our hostess was excellent. she was friendly, helpful and made you feel welcolmed... little touches like bringing us extra pots of coffee and to go cups to take with us when we left. in short, what a great experience! we will most certainly return. FYI, the happy hour on fri and sat nights is also very good...the 6 of us had a drink and 30 wings between us and the tab was about $43...enjoyed the free freshly popped po corn.

We were happy to see that Lauren was serving and that we were able to have her as our server. She is always smiling and she is awesome at her job!
The carrots on the anti-pasta looked very old and dry, but other than that the food itself was delicious as usual.
We love this place... I have been there about 4 or 5 times and the food is sooooo good. And the staff is excellent, especially Pat.

I wish my side salad had been larger. The bread and antipasto were included with the chicken parm, but I really did not eat any of that. It was the salad I was interested in and I had to pay additionally for that. I just wish it had been a little larger. It was good but I felt like I would have enjoyed more fresh greens. The chicken parm was excellent!
Food portions were small
seemed to have bigger(not bite sized) pieces of smoked salmon in the fettucine
Cashier always has a Bad attitude when paying with coupon.
I lost my reading glasses there and the woman I called at the restaurant called back twice, the second time after finding them. I appreciated her time.
everything was delicious, but the Minnestrone was out of this world. We live on the other side of town but definitely will be back!

Service was attentive. Food was excellent with large portions. Nice relaxed family environment.
We're not from this area but we would dine here again if we were. Very large portions of good food.
The server was slow and Unattentive. We never had our drinks refilled. We had dirty plates left on our table. The mean in the cannoli had a weird taste. The certificate didn't seem worth the money spent nor felt to be any value.

Service left something to be desired. It took them awhile to acknowledge our presence. If it had not been for the coupon, we would have walked out. Food really did not have any flair, quite predictable.
The only thing they lack is any kind of Happy Hour.
real Italian red sauce and plenty of it.
Service was a bit slow tonight, but the food was very good. The pizza crust on the vegetarian pizza--thin crust--was dry and chewy. Not sure if this is their normal, however.

Food wasn't very good... our child ate his meatball and nothing else (and he eats anything). My partner only ate about 1/3 of her meal, because it didn't taste good either. BUMMER
