Good food, staff is awesome even when they are packed.
Wonderful host, not too much on the menu, but what they did have was well worth it. Parking was not so great, we had to drive around a few times to find a spot.

Our server was kind enough to point out that Wed night was half off bottles of wine! Food was very, very good. Easy onstreet parking. Nice historic flavor to the building. Will definitely come back for another occasion!
It was a Friday evening after a night of seeing the Nutcracker. Decided to do somethijng quaint, and was not disappointed. There was only 1 other couple in the dining room as this was about 10pm, we were seated by the fireplace (very romantic and cozy), and enjoyed a great meal. The server and hostess were extremely friendly and helpful, and the food was outstanding. This is truly a hidden gem in South Baltimore.

We sat at the bar; enjoyed the camaraderie of surrounding strangers; had engaging conversation with the bar keeper. Great couple of hours in a Fort Avenue restaurant.
We had our second date at Hull Street Blues and we've celebrated our anniversary there for many of the 13 years we've been married.

Always good food and service at HSB
Food was very good. Server was friendly and pleasant but not familiar with the specials or veggies for tonight. But she was attentive and got answers to all of our questions.
We arrived at 5:30 on a Saturday night and were the only ones in the dining room for our entire meal.

Really bad service and really bad food. Almost laughable and weird. At one point the "waitress" came up to us in the almost deserted restaurant and said. "This is probably the worst service you have ever had" . Food on the buffet was almost in recognizable.
Crabcakes and filet mignon were excellent! National Premium on tap was good too.

The bartender was personable & chatty. It was a really slow night, would have been nice to maybe give the specials verbally rather than handing us a handwritten note... Or just do a typed specials sheet. We sat at the bar, but the separate dining room looked very nice & cozy.
Considering the sandwiches are in the $11-15 price range, I would think you would get cole slaw, french fries, or pasta salad as a side and not just chips.

Some of the food was very cool and had to be sent back.
Nice little pub in historic neighborhood. Really good food (the crab cakes, grilled tilapia, and a very generous portion of mussels were all fantastic). As a bonus, we had a great time playing some shuffleboard in the bar area while waiting for our food.

We have been in there several times since they had the new chef and up to the last visit the food was outstanding and the specials were creative. Unfortunately, our last visit the chef had an off night(we hope). The specials were uncreative , the mussels were not cook all the way and my lamb chops were old and bad.
Since they changed chefs the food is outstanding. The special menu has a very interesting mix of entrees and appetizers that our party felt were outstanding.
the food is always consistent and is always hot when you recieve it. the servers are very friendly, courteous, they don't crowd but are always there when you need them.

Wasn't my best visit there, but it's a nice place and the service was good. I've had better meals there, and the red wine was served at too warm a temperature.

We were visiting Baltimore for the weekend and found Hull Street Blues on the restaurant.com web site. We can't wait to visit Baltimore again so we can come back to this restaurant! We LOVED it!!
