best fresh food and excellent service. Ask for Eileen. There is no better server and Tam was our cook. Portions were huge.
Travis was awesome! He took time to check and make sure the food was perfect and the drinks were ice cold! The wing sauce was prepared custom how we liked and the burger was very flavorful
DO NOT! I REPEAT! DO NOT judge this establishment on outside appearances. I am the very first customer to visit bearing certificates from Restaurants.com. Even though they were COMPLETELY unfamiliar with the process they welcomed my business and treated me like family. Thete is no prix fix menu, per se, but Travis, (the owner's) mother (apparently "MA" Duke herself) lovingly prepares each dish as she would at home and trust and believe, if given free reign, she will feed you with comfort food until you burst. It was like I had known these folks forever. Now, as I'm sure you can imagine, I was quite pleased with the experience to this point and would have been satisfied to go home and give a positive rew, positive review but no.... Not only did they send me packing with over a kilo of food (Believe me. I weighed it.) but was asked to return tomorrow for a pool tournament and a lunch special as a warm-up to the Cowboys vs. Chiefs game. Had the food been made of drywall the service would've made up for it. The kicker is this. It may seem like your everyday, neighborhood watering hole but it's anything but. The food was YUMMY! These are hard working, local peopple struggling to thrive whilst genuinely striving to give every patron the best value for every penny they spend. If you want to be treated like family by good people who care, really care, then belly up to MA Duke's (2404 Orange Ave NE, Roanoke, VA 24012). Tell 'em Scott sent you. I promise you won't be disappointed.
