The service was poor, it was noisy, and the food was mediocre. They also would not let us use a credit card with our coupon. We will never go back.
We had 2 children with us, and they were very accommodating! The food was great and the service was adequate. The live music was excellent!
Food is great. Husband got octopus and loved it. Eggplant is great. If you use coupon you must pay with cash only. Didn’t know it. Had to Bring tip back for server. Also credit cards can be used, not for coupons , but has extra charge.

I have been going to Mama's for years. And I have always been happy with the place. But tonight the salad dressing was tasteless. I added vinegar, but it didn't help.
Very good assortment of draft beers and the server (Katie) was quite knowledgeable. Husband said his lamb burger was excellent and just the right size. Lunch portion of shrimp & grits also very good. We arrived around 1:30 so it many patrons were there but it was still friendly and welcoming

No outdoor dining room, granted it was lunch time! Placed in the middle of the dining room, lots of traffic. Waitress didn’t remember who ordered what.

We’ve dine here before and loved it. This time they cut back. Their Greek salad is put on a very small plate, your food falls out when you try to eat it, the potato salad does not have the great taste it use to have and it’s buried under the lettuce. I also had pita bread with the salad, this time they didn’t ask if I wanted it. Very disappointted.

Our waitress didn’t seem to want to be there. Asked for a straw never brought one. Never asked if everything was okay, we needed to call her over to fill drinks and ask for pita bread with gyro meat. The chicken was like rubber, must have heated up after cooking it once already. The Greek food was good, combo meal overpriced for what you get. Service was bad!

Great Greek food !!! Our server Irene was terrific and exceptional as was Dottie.

The lunch special for $9.95 was almost more than we could eat! The service was excellent! Also recommend their home made c sangria.... Especially at 2 for 1. Definitely will be back!

The food and service were very good was a little disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm when they brought out the flaming cheese and said ooopah. We had no time to get a picture which as a tourist was very disappointing.

We sat at a high top on the outside deck. We waited over 20 minutes for a server to come to our table. Order drinks...waited another 15+ minutes for drinks to arrive. Asked for bread...waited another 15+ minutes. Once we finally ordered we waited at least 20 minutes for our order...the fries were room temperature! We have always loved Mama's when we go to Tarpon, but will most likely find a new greek restaurant on our next trip.

Octopus dinner was superb. Mama's pork/spaghetti dinner was ok/ not great. Avagadolemeno soup was excellent. Bouzouki player was extremely good. had coffee & dessert watching him. Would come again just to see him.

I have been going there for many years one the the best greek resturants arounnd.
Although the food was prepared in a normal amount of time, most of it was fried seafood and was actually cold when served... as such it did not have much taste. This suggests it was cooked in advance and not even kept warm--- very disappointing

Portions were huge. A bit of a wait to get our food as the restaurant was extremely busy (always a good sign), but definitely worth the wait! The lamb was tender & delicious. The vegetarian pasta was chock full of delicious vegetables, olives, & mushrooms.
Very good but different cultural food. May not appeal to all tastes but we found it to be a nice change up. They give you a very large portion of food for the price and we had to get a take out box.

Although it was Night in the Islands, and they were slammed, the service was excellent, and our server showed personal attention to us throughout our time-spent there. The food was served fresh & hot, and the Bazouki guitar player, and the keyboard player completed the festive dining experience! We actually felt like we were on vacation somewhere in the Mediterranean!It was so much fun.

We enjoy going there but it appears that there are not enough servers. Food is good but it takes a little longer than I like. Never sat inside, but the porch has too many tables and chairs for the space. However it was not crowded yesterday so it was not an issue.
Casual place, Friday at lunch time, tourist place for sure, not very many tables seated but food was slow to arrive-maybe kitchen was short staffed today.
We both had the spinach pie and greek salad. The salad was large, very fresh with a great variety of ingredients. The dressing really accented the ingredients, especially the potatoe salad hidden under the greens. Their spinach pie was the best I have had with large chunks of cheese. The room was clean and airy with a nice cool breeze and the service was excellent.

The margarita was too strong. The service was not as good as usual. The waitress didn't hear that we ordered the lunch special so we just got the sandwich.
The menu said Pan fry calameri, it looked like deep fried when it was servered. When the waitress asked me how was it. I told her and I also said the calameri is tasteless, feeled like from frozen calameri, but they say it is pan fried. and it is fresh not from frozen. I asked whether I can switch to something else, the waitress took my plate, then came back with the same plate said it couldn't be switched because it had nothing wrong.

The food came out cold the first time, sent it back and then it came out new and fresh and was very good. I think it sat there for a long time the first time because it was dried out and cool.

It is an exception but we were disappointed with our server. She was inattentive with each step (acknowledgment, drinks, appetizer, entree and guest check). We were never offered a refill of our drinks.The waitress acted as if we were an imposition. No smiles, no graciousness. The restaurant was NOT especially busy at the time. My husband says he won't go back. We spent almost $50 and wish we had chosen another place.

Overall it was great, a lot of food and service was good. Wish for a large party we could have used more of the coupons though. Meals were good, a few said the meat was a little dry, but overall it was excellent.

We have been going to the California Market for more than 30 years. It would be wonderful if you would change the menu. The view is incredible and the food is tasty. But we feel that there isn't enough of a variety on the menu.

We have been going to both Mama's for a few years now. But this location apparently got greedy. They even charge 25ct. for extra sauce...they were very busy. Live music. Our smelts, fries, & soup were cold and the platter seemed liked the same portion as a sandwich. One piece of flatbread...Also, Chicken tenders for my son weren't battered. The smelts was the smallest portion I'd ever seen and not enough lemons either. SMH.

We were celebrating our Annivissary and we were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter Chris was very intentative and very well knowledgeable of the menu and wines. We had appetizer,entree's and dessert which was everything we expected and than some. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone... 5 Stars.......We will be returning soon.

I had a take out order, when I got home and had the Greek Veggie Pasta the broccoli was sour, ruined my whole meal. it is time to get a new cook he either had a bad day which no restaurant can afford or he does not like his job. I did not want to complain to the restaurant I'd rather not eat their again. The other items, Greek salad and chicken Souvlaki platter where just fair. It just did not taste fresh.

This restaurant is competing with many excellent surrounding Greek restaurants located in Tarpon Springs, so it has tougher than normal competition. for example, our first course of Greek lemon chicken soup was not as good as we have had at other restaurants, and came out cold, and had to go back to be heated.

The Hilltop is a beautiful restaurant with great atmosphere…….the food is consistently excellent and most importantly, our waiter Angelo is the BEST!!!!! If every waIt is a 5 star restaurant and having a restaurant.com coupon helps us enjoy the meal even more!!!!!

Nick has done wonders with this gem since he took over 8 months ago the new menu was just revamped, with lots of extra options to choose from on the dinner menu. the price did go up a little on a couple of items, but Nick demands that the "Quality is Top Notch!" try to find a better value out there in a restaurant of this type and let me know- i have been coming here for years. the bar and the daily dinner specials are an absolute bargain. Outstanding staff and service as well. Enjoy!
They have a nice patio out back, but we ate inside as it was a little too warm for us. Our server brought out bread and a nice herbed dipping oil. We ordered the Saganaki which looked like it was going to burn the house down when they lit it (Opa!)My son had the lamb shank and my husband had Mama's Chicken. They needed more sauce, which our server brought with no problem. My daughter and I had the Moussaka. The food was very tasty (my son loved the lamb) and we left satisfied. Our server was pleasant and efficient.
Average atmosphere and food. Sandwiches are huge! Small inside (10 tables), but a nice wrap around porch with tables. However the outside seating faces the back streets and alleys.
I always enjoy coming to Mama's. I wish the certificate didn't have so many stipulations, however.

sadly, it was not as good as our last visit. greek salad was still delish, although both of them were missing peperoncini. i have my doubts that i actually got real grouper, as the shape and texture were different from all the grouper i have ever eaten. still, it was tasty so i didnt feel like making a scene. but the biggest disappointment was the oven potatoes which appeared to have been steamed or microwaved, then just put under the broiler at put on little brown (very little). the sauce they were in was still delish, thankfully, but i did miss the authentic texture of true oven potatoes. prices have increased since our last visit a few months ago and it is unlikely that we will return.

We were very disappointed with the food, we had sked for extra sauce and the waitress said it already had extra sauce. 3 out of 4 people barely ate their food.
Our server was friendly and knowledgeable, the souvlaki was delicious and my dad really liked the sausage. We all thought the tzaziki sauce was great. We'd definitely return. They even have outside seating so you can take your pet.

chicken souvlaki- chicken was very dry.but the margaritas are great... also very dissappointed that we had to get 2 certf's for $25 instead of one $50 certf.

excellent service with a homelike atmosphere

The service was absolutely terrible,we waited over 15 minutes to get our drinks , and when we where done with the drinks the waitress was no where to be found.we came in at 6pm and we finally left at 8:30 pm. .This was my LAST TIME AT THIS RESTAURANT.We come in Tarpon Springs Sponge dock once monthly to enjoy Greek cuisine .I guess we will have to find another restaurant to visit.
The food was okay, nothing spectacular but the service was the worst! Will not go back!
octopus was terrible broiled to much ,tasted burnt.the whole plate was not good at all.we will NOT RETURN even with a coupon or a free meal.

Didnt like the gratuity automatically added to bill, they overcharged around 22%, and service was not worth 22%.

our waitress linda was wonderful, and we got free appetizer with dinner. Very good with 2 for 1 drinks....I recommend and ask for Linda
Tried all sorts of interesting foods. Was difficult for two people to reach the $50 minimum.
The best food, authentic, incredible service, huge portions! Our server, Linda made us feel like family, would not eat Greek any where else.
Food was OMG Good, I had my grandson with me who can be a little loud and demanding, but the waitress took time to answer his silly questions that was so much appreciated.
Friendly staff. Good food. Too stuffed to finish. Worth every penny!
THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AND WE ARE ALWAYS IN THE AREA WHERE MAMA' GREEK CUISINE IS LOCATED. THEY GET A 10 AND WE WILL DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THEM TO OUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY.

food was great waitress is great but it took over an hour to come out of the kitchen very slow. it wasn't even very busy. that was very disappointing.
Nice atmosphere. Very good menu selections. Huge portions.
My only complaint would be the soup was not even barely warmed agavolema soup. fried calamari rings way to large . Taste of food was great .
