Great for an impromptu date night but we sometimes bring our son who loves the zuppa di pesce.

Food and service was good. Do not understand why restaurant adds 20% gratuity to bill. Would certainly leave a gratuity, but do not like restaurant putting 20% on check.

Because of Restaurant.com we frequent this restaurant a little more than we would normally and bring our son to get his favorite- zuppa di pesce. My husband and I love the veal. These are meals we almost exclusively order at this restaurant as they are made so well.
The food is so good. My hubby loves the eggplant parmigiano. The breads are very fresh, the soups delicious. It has become our favorite place to dine whenever we are in the area.

Service and food was very good. Only item did not like was that a gratuity (which we would given, was added to the bill for 2 people).

My husband and I visited Portofino on a Sunday evening. The food was excellent. The crab cakes were Delicious. The fried calamari was also good, Just wish they gave a bigger portion. We left very full and very satisfied that we'd be returning! The staff was very attentive and friendly. We never felt as if we were being rushed. We would recommend Portofino to anyone.

Food was delicious. Service was absolutely terrible from bringing water to placing the order to timely getting the food to having to remind waitresses of various courses coming out. The waitress had far too many table and was unable to function effectively.

Meals are pricey but worth it when Jerry is cooking. I've noticed a difference when eating at this place. Sometimes average and sometimes exceptional. Last time when exceptional I asked who the chef was and was told Jerry. This time we had Carlos and I could tell the difference. In the future I will check who's working that night before going,
the food was good -- but questioning being billed twice for the same drink: $3 for the hot chocolate AND then $9 for the Bailey's Irish Cream shot. Maybe I'm out of touch, but that seemed a bit excessive for a drink with a shot of liquor.

I eat plant-based foods, and my requests to make a dish of vegetables and mushrooms was not honored. Most chefs are willing to accommodate, but not tonight. Like getting the middle finger...

They made some very nice improvements to the restaurant. They even had the fireplace going on a cold 1st day of May. Service was friendly and efficient and food was well prepared.
Food was excellent, service was lacking a bit. I'm not sure if it was because of where we were sitting, but it seemed we were forgotten. Had to ask multiple times for the same thing (water and silverware) and our drinks sat on the bar for a while before we got them. Besides that, the food was OUTSTANDING as always. We visit this restaurant with friends on a regular basis and get take out at least once a week.

The specials sounded good and we tried the Artichoke Florentine Franchese. It was love at first bite. Seriously delicious! Taste gives the dining experience 5 stars. The wait staff was nice but service was "ok", not bad, not great. For instance, the lovely girl that waited on us was trying to be helpful and attentive, but 3 times she came to take our plates away when it should have been clear that we were not finished (Chewing, fork in hand, food on plate.)The wait staff was friendly and tried hard. I think a little more training or experience would help. They were all pleasant and for that they get a better mark.The restaurant is very pleasant. We sat in the back room and it was easy to hear each other talk. THANK YOU!

Out of selected wine. Tried to up-sell me alternate at 2x the price. Very plain salad. Gorgonzola-crusted steak had only mushy non-descript cheese. Pasta greatly overcooked. NO steak sauce. Waitress kept disappearing for long periods of time.

Veal dish that was ordered was very, very tough and guest could only eat one piece.The price of the meal was over $20 and for this amount of money the dish should have been better prepared.Guest told manager and all he did was apologize - no offer of anything free.
Menu price was lower than what I was charged. Upon inquiry, I was told the menu was wrong.

There was a long wait between our soup and our appetizers. The waitress came out to say she was sorry for the delay but it was due to the fact that they had so many take-out orders. I don't know why a dine in experience should be impacted by take out orders. But overall our experience was good.
Unless you specify you are in a rush, service will not be fast. However the food is great and all people are courtious, warm and pleasant. Gaby especially.This is a great place for a family, couple or business event as it is quite.

The food is always good in this place and the service is, mostly, perfect. Tonight the restaurant was empty at our arrival. Normally an empty restaurant is a bad sign but Portofino gave an excellent srvice.

We saw the owener ask his son if the voucher was valid because if was a Holiday weekend. He seemed annoyed that we were able to use. I don't think he realized we could see what was going on. Why would they sign up this if they didn't want people to use it?! I felt a little uncomfortable this time. Not in any rush to return. Food was great as usual, so it's unfortunate.

The food at this restaurant is of gourmet caliber and it is consistently excellent. This is one of our favorite restaurants even without the certificate. Staff and owners are always friendly and go out of their way to provide good customer service and dining experience.
We had three different entree's and each was spectacular - salmon, veal piccata and veal and shrimp francais - delicious!

The clams casino appetizer was amazing.
The staff is always so friendly. When I go there I always ask for the seafood stuffed chicken which isn't on the menu but the chef always makes it for me. It was amazing last night as it always is. My mom first introduced me to Portofino when she had my engagement party there and they were wonderful then too. I can't say enough about this place. Always great food and friendly staff!! I will be back soon!!

Food is good but service could be better. Waited too long for water and coffee was served without cream. By the time I got the cream, coffee was cool. Staff needs more training.

This is such a friendly place to eat. Love the way we are welcomed and sent off by the owner...it makes all the difference in the world!
Service was spotty, especiallty given the ratio of staff to diners. Waiter was not as attentive as he should have been. We had to ask for drink re-fills and even then, the wine order wasn't put in. Food was so-so. Also, waiter didn't describe the "sides", my wife was given about 1/2 lb of spaghetti which she didn't touch. The waiter should have said the entree comes with spaghetti with red sauce, or "perhaps you'd like something else instead". So, food was merely wasted when a little info would have resulted in an alternative (veggies perhaps)

What can I say, Portofino's has excellent food, excellent service, and excellent presentation. I would recommend it to anyone.

1. Server did not let us know what the specials were as we heard them being announced by another waitress who was servicing an adjoining table AFTER we placed our order. 2. We had to ask "busboy" to clean our table with a damp cloth as he initially was only using a napkin. 3. We asked for a mixed drink requiring the use of pineapple juice, but restaurant didn't have such an ingredient. What bartender doesn't have pineapple juice? 4. "High end" scotch was over priced. 5. We ordered a mixed appetizer dish of fried calamari and the majority of the calamari on the dish were "tenticles" - not "round" calamari. 6. Food (overall) was "so - so." Would never, ever return again.
Fried calamari appetizer was like eating leather. Not good.
