The server was awesome-she was very friendly and attentive. My burger was delicious -exactly the way I wanted it cooked. We has a to go order and it was ready to go when we paid the tab.
This is a very pleasant local business. The food is plentiful and excellent quality. We were fortunate to have a conversation with the owner, Sonia. The menu has a great variety for all meals. We will be returning to try dinner.
We both had burgers. They were excellent. I would recommend it to everyone.
Love the music on Saturday nights. Food is good. We started with clams, always excellent. Entrees were a grouper sandwich which was just okay and the taco salad with blackened shrimp which was very good. Enjoyed a reasonably priced bottle of wine with the tv football and the live performer

We were seated at a table, not at hibachi table. The waitress had to be flagged down for drink refills, boxes, etc.

We go here during our vacation. If the restaurant was closer we would go much more often.

The evening crew is not as quick as the lunch crew (in the dining rm) but the food is always delicious! The cooks are excellent! Always...best hamburgers and salads in town!

been here many times always greeted with welcoming smiles. Today they were busier than usual. A blonde girl asked how many I said 2. She said you have to sit in the 2 person booth at the front door. I said may I have the 4 person table so we can read our paper since no one was waiting behind me.She said with a snip and walked off., Fine seat yourself. Other than that it was a good visit. d
We had a great waitress. She was always coming up and checking on us. I didn't get her name, but she was an older Hispanic girl.
Dalia was outstanding. Attentive to every need. Great personality always smiling. The steak and eggs were great. A nice cut of rib eye cooked perfect. The French toast was golden brown. All very good.
Triple D found a slice of heaven!! Everything was outstanding. BEST Chicken Cordon Bleu I've EVER HAD. Thank you. Coming back with more eaters in my party.

Normally just eat here for breakfast but we went to the Cafe for dinner because we wanted to see the "cruise night" in Ramona. Dinner was blah Fried chicken was terribly over done and bland, the chicken cordon blue featured on DDD was overdone as well. If this was my first time coming here I would not be coming back, but I grew up here and know that the Cafe has the best breakfast in Ramona. That being said I don't think I'll be back for a while to eat dinner here :(

As usual we had an excellent meal. People friendly, good service and the food was great.
Our appetizers were good[[baked brie and stuffies). My entrée was overcooked{Duck}. The vegetables were poor! Sugar snap peas still had ends on and very tough , stringy! Cauliflower and broccoli had no flavor. I've ordered this entrée many times. This time it was too dry and crunchy!

The service and food BOTH were GREAT (as it usually is), but some ungrateful patron that was at the restaurant had the NERVE to walk over to MY table (we were sitting in the BACK corner) from his table (sitting next to the front window) to tell me my 2 yr old daughter ruined his breakfast. He went on to say that he wasn't trying to "confront" us. Then when I went to pay at the cashier, the guy paying for his breakfast made a comment about the "crying kid" to the cashier, who agreed with him. That DEFINITELY encouraged me to lower my rating of this restaurant.
Long wait for food
Ramona Cafe has a comfortable home-town vibe. Patio seating is available if you enjoy the outdoors or like to watch the world go by.
Great. Service is excellent. The young lady who brought or drinks was friendly, cute and kept our drinks full. The food was tasty. My husband loves the steak and eggs. Best steak, it's a ribeye always cooked perfect. My French Toast is very tasty.I do wish they had waffles, plain and with fruit.
Service was good. Waitress very nice, pleasant and helpful. Food was just ok. Don't suggest fried chicken though. They are known for huge cinnamon rolls. Brought some home for dessert. They looked great!

Diners and Dives has pushed Ramona Cafe unto another level. Trademark Chicken Cordon Bleu is a great choice made better by a Restaurant.com coupon. Highly recommend if you have a BIG appetite and want something especially good for a small diner.
We enjoyed the whole experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious, the service great and there was easy parking. It was a plus to us that we were able to have our small dog with us sitting outside on the patio in the shade as it was a hot day. There was a bowl of water provided by the restaurant for dogs outside.
Food was delicious! Large portions. Service was very friendly. Tried the cinnamon roll as others suggested - WOW! - couldn't eat it all. Welcoming atmosphere - talked with other guests (local & out-of-towners) sitting nearby. Will return.
very filling meals. their "famous cinnamon roll" was great. bit disappointed in my steak. asked for medium, came to me rare but since i was full from everything else should be okay when i heat it at home

Nice welcome as we entered. Very clean overall. Our server was very attentive, polite, always smiling. Our food was very good. The best French Toast ever. The steak &eggs steak was very juicy and tender. Our server kept returning to see if we needed anything. Kept our drinks filled and removed our plates when finished.
Both of our dishes were delicious - the pollo calbrese dish my wife got was especially good - it was surprisingly better than most italian restaurants we have dined in
The food here is great.... My son (and me!) love their cinnamon rolls. The French Toast I got was yummy and my husband usually gets the chicken fried steak that he says is the best. The customer service has always been great everytime we've been there. We would definitely recommend trying the Ramona Cafe.

Messed up order, food didn't come out at once.
Thursday dance night was fun.One minor short coming tonite. The profiterole shell was dry. Ice cream and sauce were delicious.The other four items that we tried were delicious.(salmon, artichoke, mussels, grilled veggies)

The food was delicious! Our server was very sweet. We didn't even know that this restaurant has been mentioned in the show Diners, Driveins and Drives. We understand after eating there why they gave it such a favorable mention! We look forward to going everytime we visit our Timeshare in the area.

Atmosphere is undecided--Sports tv over the bar and fine dining at the tables--all in one area; one takes away from the other. Also, inexperienced kids as wait staff.
An overall excellent dining experience. The short ribs entree was delicious , as well as the warm pear salad.
The food and service were very good. The value was exceptional. A great kind of old fashioned small town diner/cafe with good old fashioned cooking plus a bakery. Nothing fancy here. Large portions with plenty to take home.
Food was dry, service was poor, (and they only had a few tables with customers), took a long time for our food....we won't come back.
The food was terrific. We ate breakfast there with the restaurant.com certificate and enjoyed it so much that we returned the same evening for dinner! Portions were huge. This place is the very essence of "comfort food".
