Due to Covid19, we did carry out and our boxes were labeled
beef entire had a huge amount of vegetables and slice beef on top.The beef flavor was blah.It was served with a huge amount of rice. we enjoyed the wine.salads,sushi roll(could have used some sweet chili sauce)and the fried spring rolls.
Great food and helpful service! The cocktails were delicious. The only complaint is the room temperature. This was the second time I’ve been that it was too hot. The table was wet with condensation from the ice water glasses.

Great food, and we got there a little after they opened for dinner- got right in and waited on immediately.

Always our favorite place to go, the food is always excellent and the service is outstanding and the restaurant itself has just a cozy comfortable feel to it.
The time it took to bring the food was too long. Sushi came with the meal instead of before. Food was tasty but beef was chewy. Won't return, at least to this one.

We enjoyed our experience all around. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was the wait time from ordering to getting our food. I realize it was a lot of sushi to make. It just seemed longer than normal, that's all.
Food took to long and the waitress was barely around

I was alittle put off that at lunch for two people an 18% gratuity was added to our bill. Not sure if it was done on purpose or a mistake but it was very off putting to say the least! Also was not told to us, we found by reviewing our bill. How many others haven't known and left way more of a tip than intended.
The pyramid-shaped appetizer was stunning as well as delicious. The sushi was all of the highest quality. The drink specials were amazing too ~ two for one sake, or a lovely green tea cocktail for $5.

The food was good but not as good as usual. The rolls were not rolled tight and it made it much harded to eat since they were unrolling even on the plate they were served on. But, the service was so bad if I didn't know how good the food was I would have left and I would NEVER return. We waited 35 minutes for 4 rolls and this was close for time to close from lunch the restraunt was not busy at all. However, a couple came in while we were waiting for our food and they also order 4 rolls and there food came in about 8 minutes and they had the same waitress as we did. She came and talked to them a lot and checked on them and I had to go hunt her down just to pay the bill.
The hostess, server, and support staff were friendly and helpful. The food arrived relatively quickly. The only negative aspect of our dining experience was mostly our fault --- we arrived shortly before the restaurant began closing for the evening, and as a result, felt the need to rush to finish our meal. The server was nice about it, though, and told us not to rush.

the tall caucasian sushi chef was nice & friendly. our waitress kept checking on us even though we only ordered 2 sushi rolls which was nice.

The sushi is always excellent (although we'd like to see brown rice option) and our servers are the best in town...Alex and Sandy. They both know what we like and have it on the table before we can take off our coats! They are attentive, friendly and the main reason we choose Sekisui Midtown.
We always enjoy watching Cory behind the Sushi bar...he's a wonderful sushi artist! We are concerned, however, about the sushi chefs handling receipts while also preparing food...do your receipts have BPA in them? (BPA - banned in many countries becoming that way here in the USA) Please be advised...

it took a long time to get our sushi. The waitress said our sushi went to someone else so they had to remake it.
I eat here regularly (once a week) & I was not impressed tonight as I normally am. Sushi rolls were falling apart, long wait when there was no one else ahead of us, waitress was nice until she realized we had a coupon & then she wasn't as friendly. I don't see how it really effects her when she still gets the same tip. She just acted like it was a pain we were using a coupon.

My daughter is deadly allergic to seafood more specifically anything in a shell and they were able to accommodate her.

I dine at different sekisui locations regularly and have always enjoyed the food. Service is also quite good.
Roll size is gradually getting smaller for same about of money. There for spending more money.

we can get whole grain rice sushi at KROGER and WHOLE FOODS every day, and it's GOOD! Why can't you offer it to your customers?? Is your owner really as cheap as everyone says???
the grill was down, so we were limited on our selection. also, staff was asking people to leave to make room for new customers, which seemed very rude. still better than Sekisui in Cordova.

This was the first time I was actually disapointed with the food and service. I come into town on business a few times a year for many years now and I almost always stop by sekisui midtown, but the food was so poor this last time, I really doubt ill be going back. There are better sushi resturants in memphis for the same price.
Corey is a gem. Makes great suggestions, and his sushi is always a masterpiece
not having fried rice on the menu was a bomber
The server was GREAT and very friendly and professional. The food was not what I had in the past. The sushi was done poorly and messy like it was thrown on the platter with no thought to presentation or customer's satisfication.
Service was top notch. Food was great. We will be back again very soon.

whole grain rice would be a nice addition to the menu. white rice has no nutritional value and makes you fat.
The waitresses are lousy - they don't know what's available at the bar and they don't check on you, but the food is outstanding!!
The server who was working with us at the beginning was bad enough that I had suggested finishing our appetizers and leaving to have dinner somewhere else. My companion insisted on just dealing with the situation. After finding him so we could place our order, he disappeared. Another server came to deliver dinner; she said our first waiter had had to leave. She was able to provide good enough service to almost rescue the evening. We will be back, but we won't let the first person wait on us again. He didn't know the menu, he told me that what is done at one Sekisui is not done at the others, and he was extremely inattentive. The girl who finished serving us was cheerful and attentive.
Restaurant had a very dirty mop water smell to it when we came in at 11:30a. luckily we ate out side. Water guy was a little too chatty.
Usually a great dining experience. Tonight was for some reason 2 hours to get our food.
Love their food and with the coupons I can eat there more often.

I WAS BITTEN MANY TIMES BY MOSQUITOES THIS VISIT. VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I LOVE SEKISUI OTHERWISE AND VISIT AS OFTEN AS I CAN. BEST SUSHI IN TOWN.

My family enjoyed a meal at this extablishment tonight. Everything ordered was enjoyable to the palate & the eye! Reasonable prices. The staff was very attentive to our needs. Excellent dining experience.
