The restaurant was very clean and inviting, the staff was very friendly and helpful, we were served very quickly, the food was delicious, and given this was our first family trip since our 10 yr old daughter was informed she is in remission, this EXCEEDED expectations! We will definitely be back on our next visit from Louisiana! The service was terrific, the food was excellent, even the clear soup and salad was the best we have had at a sushi restaurant, very memorable dining experience!

we have always liked this restaurant,and there is one dish we usually order however they keep changing the price. It use to be 14.95, as listed in past menus, but then it was listed as $19.00, last night they said it is now $25.00! but the menu it said $19.00, we asked the wait person but were told that management told her the price is $25.00.I think the restaurant needs to have new menus printed with the price they intent to charge. There were other prices marked out in black ink with no new price shown. This restaurant needs to spend a little money to get things right. It reflects very badly on the place.

Food presentation was amazing. Everything we ordered were fresh and delicious. We had seaweed salad, Mallory roll, crab cakes, grilled oysters, teriyaki burger and lobster dinner. The lobster's sauce was out of this world. Service was excellent. Ann was attentive, friendly, and professional. We will definitely go back and try other items on the menu. We had a great experience.
Items on the menu unavailable but not marked out. The saki butter that came with the seafood appetizer was tasteless and the tempura needed salt (none on table). The food was good quality but not anything special enough to bring me back.

We had their breakfast buffet. The staff is always pleasant and it was nice to so see the restaurant had been renovated!!! BUT the acoustics seem different not that there isn't carpet in the former raised area. If someone is talking loud, you can hear their conversation.

The restaurant wasn't very crowded, but the service wasn't very fast. Thankfully, we weren't in a rush! Drink refills came quickly at first, but toward the end of the meal, it took at least three passes of our table for the server to notice my empty cup.

Horrible waitress. Our food took an hour an a half to get out from the time of ordering and, in that time, two tables besides us that got there after us finished and had left. Did not check on us and brushed us off when we told her how we had been waiting. No one else was having this issue it seemed, and they weren't packed.

It took almost 20 minutes before we were even greeted by our server. They did not have tapas menus available and we had to wait another 15 minutes or so before we received those, as they had to print them from the back. One person at our table ordered, and the waitress ran off to put in their order before taking orders from the rest of the table. We did not receive our soup until AFTER our we were almost done with our entree, and it was the wrong kind of soup. We requested our check prior to being served our food (we told the waitress that we were in a hurry to make it to a movie) and we were still waiting on it after we were finished eating. All in all, not a good experience.
Restaurant was a little busy that water was not served timely.

The ambiance was pleasant and the food for the most part was good (appetizers), but the entree (noodles with ribeye) was disappointing as meat was full of fat and grissle. Also, they sat a couple at a table right next to us in a row of tables, when there were plenty of empty tables on the other side that could have been filled first to allow more space between occupied tables.
my only complaint is that i asked for the salad to be tossed very lightlyit was swimming in dressingi should have sent it back but did notmy fault

The tempura combo was excellent. The salad & clear soup was much better than any equivalent restaurant that we have been to. The sushi especially The Elvis was really good. The tempura cheesecake and banana desserts were large enough to share and also delicious.

i went to this restaurant tonight with my boyfriend. everything started out ok. the server was nice enough. i really wanted one of their specialty rolls (sunny side up, but was told that they dont make it anymore). but once our food came out (which, for the exception of the big cheesy roll), was only mediocre, we never saw her again. after waiting approx 20 min, i finally hunted down a DIFFERENT server to get us a box and our check, our server finally brought it, took my credit card, ran it, and brought back the check, but not my credit card. After much searching around the table, and ensuring that I didn't misplace it, my boyfriend goes up to the bar to see if he can find our server. There is a different server standing behing him, two bartenders eating behind the bar, and a few guests sitting at the bar, While waiting to see if he can find our server to see if she knows where my card is, he sees it sitting on the micros stand, on top of a bunch of check presenters, where ANYONE could take it. Which is made completely obvious, because even though there were several guests around, as well as at least 3 employees standing right there, not a single person said a word to him whe he picked up a "random" credit card off of the micros stand. I'll go back one more time (ONLY because i have one more restaurant.com gift certificate, but i will DEFINATELY pay cash. ) Then, I will no longer be going here. And I will CERTAINLY not let this girl wait on me again, considering there were maybe 4 tables in the entire restaurant, and 3 servers on duty. So, NO. Busy was not an excuse.

waited almost 30 min. before we were even asked about drinks... had my 6 yr. old with me. he asked for tea and got unsweet tea, then he got fries which had a red hot sprinkle stuff all over so he couldn't eat them. the food was not what I expected. Will never go there again.

The roll that I ordered was supposed to come with seared tuna, and it was not seared. Server informed us it actually didn't come seared anymore despite menu description, but would go back and do it. When it came back, it was seared, but parts of the sweet chili sauce had turned into burnt flecks and tasted horrible.
When I have dined here on Monday nights, both times the sushi was not that good, but middle of the week it is very good

This is THE bests place in Memphis to eat sushi. The servers are all very nice, helpful and very knowledgeable about the food.We love sitting at the Sushi bar and watching the guys prepare the food. It's so fascinating.

The only thing keeping the score from being excellent all the way across the board were a few of the tables I noticed were not very clean for the time of day we were seated, 5PM. The building was all but empty. I noticed several tables including ours did not appear to be wiped down very well. Another couple complained about all their seats having a sticky substance on their chairs. Otherwise service was great, food was incredible.

We waited over half an hour when we had a reservation. The hostess was seating others before us. She acted like she could care less that we were frustrated.

Foods takes very long to come out or being serve almost cold. Even appetizer. Plus server seems to not come around to check on table.

Food was great at the restaurant but both my wife and I had terrible stomach problems within 30 minutes of finishing our meals. We both had miso soup, small house salads, and we split a noodle vegetable, and chicken dish on the specials menu.
This is our favorite Sushi restaurant and we love that we can use the restaurant.com certificates to make it more affordable.

SPR is my favorite place to get sushi. It my kids' first pick of a place to eat when they get to choose. We get take-out from here a lot too.

My friends and I went on a friday night and were told it would be an hour wait. Then several other parties of equal size were told it would be a 30 minute wait, or were seated immediately. We waited for 40 minutes and finally left. We felt very discriminated against. I will never return! Thanks!

The lunch service is HORRIBLE. We waited an hour for three rolls. If you have a lunch special, and you KNOW people are there for the sushi lunch special, hire more staff. It's ridiculous; this has happened twice in a row to me now and I will not be returning. The wait staff is inattentive and constantly disappears. When half the restaurant is empty, it should not take an hour to get anything.
The food was plated elegantly. The salad was spectacular, miso divinely balanced. The tuna was average at best and the rolls were a little skimpy, but still fair.
Only complaint-sushi came WAY after our other two entrees which meant two people in our party were done before two had eaten. From sitting to leaving it was 2 hours.
Excellent experience. Will be returning and trying much more of the menu. Had the crabcakes, dumpling and Volcano roll and all three were very good! Service was great. Good atmosphere and very enjoyable experience.
SPR is an annual tradition at Christmas time when my husband and I visit our home town. We've always had a great experience with delicious food and are really thankful that SPR participates in the gift certificate program.

I have been coming to SPR for a number of years and usually visit at least once a week for lunch. However, the service has gotten slower and slower everytime I go lately. I started ordering when I sat down and asking for the check when the food came to make it quicker, but this time I waited on sushi for 40 minutes after I ordered it and had to get it to go so I could get back to work. The manager and staff were really nice about it and said that the reason it was taking so long is because there was only one person making sushi, but one of the main reasons people go here is for the sushi. Probably want to make sure you have more than one person to make sushi. Or at least give people a heads up that the food may take longer than usual. This is one of MANY bad experiences I've had at this restaurant in the last several months, and I've finally given up.

Food takes very long before server bring it out, even the appetizer took 30mins and was kinda cold coming from kitchen. Maybe work on bringing food faster.
I have eaten there before and a 18 percent gratuity was never automatically added to the price. However this time it was and I feel it was because it was a restaurant.com coupon. I often pay 20 percent gratuity but the service was really poor and I did not like being forced to reward the server for bad service.
The lunch special here is wonderful; tasty and filling. However, service is ALWAYS horrible. It should not take 30 minutes to get a check. If you have a lunch special, and know that you are catering to professionals with limited lunchtimes, then have more people on staff during lunch. There were 12 full tables when were were there, and 2 waitresses. It took us 30 minutes to get our check. This has happened multiple times in the past, and it is getting to the point of ridiculous.
Menu was somewhat limited, especially for children, but all the food tasted good. A kid menu would have been great.
Dinner was delicious. We always enjoy the sushi at Pacific Rim.

My only feedback is about the spring roll specials. I have ordered them the past 2 times I visited SPR, both times they had cilantro in them and both times, cilantro was not listed as an ingredient in them on the menu. I have an allergy to cilantro and I really think that is should be listed as an ingredient when used. I am very disappointed that I paid for them and was unable to eat them both times.
