Excellent service and food
Steve's is a small basic sandwich cafe but has very good food.
Food is good but its so hot and smells of grease in the dining area hard to enjoy your diner. Order to go.

The mozzarella sticks were very good, hot dogs were average, pizza puffs were good, but the fries were very bad according to my tastes. They had a good amount of salt, not too much not too little, but they were mushy, soggy, and very greasy. Fries need to have a little crispness in my opinion.
Tasty Chicago style hot dogs but nothing special or extraordinary.
The 2 Italian Beef were supposed to have only mozzarella cheese, but instead no cheese just onions & peppers. They had only 2 workers and a backlog of customers; one couple left before taking their order. 10 minutes was 25 minutes. Never had such poor service here.
The air conditioning was out and the service was really slow. It took us almost 15 min to get our food.
Food was good. The place really needs a good cleaning though. So much clutter with photo's of cars & model cars that most customers could care less about.

It was very dirty in there. The tables were sticky and the salt and pepper shakers looked like they’ve never been cleaned. I’m from Chicago and bought their “Chicago dog.” I didn’t expect it to be the perfect Chicago dog but I was expecting the size of the hot dog to be normal! I literally had to spread the bun apart to find it. My sister liked their Italian beef sandwich so I upgraded my response on the food quality to Neutral.

The kind employee that took my order made a minor mistake to my order, but they looked pretty busy for me being the only one in the restaurant. Food was good, so I would try it again!

Party in the private area is noisy when door opens and closes to the room.
We had a delicious Antipasto. The service was great and the food wonderful. They let us sit for hours!
Outstanding is the word to describe our experience. Our server was friendly, responsive and very accommodating. The owner also came to our table to ask about our dining ecoerience. Picking thus place was a shot in the dark but we will definitely go again.
