Our server and the other staff were all very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was delightful, and the food was outstanding.

The schnitzels seems like they were cooked well in advance, perhaps in anticipation of crowds for the first day of Oktoberfest. The spatzle was overly dry and didn't have much flavor. The home fries were barely warm and many were beyond "well done". The restaurant wasn't very busy considering it was the opening of Oktoberfest and a Friday evening. Maybe thebeginning of the labor day weekend would explain that away, but not the disappointing food.

Disappointed the cook did not cook as requested. Then reheated burnt - expected a knowledgeable cook not one that worked at MacDonald's.
Great atmosphere, very good service, food ... was very good last time, not so great this time. Overcooked / rubbery escargot, caprisi salad with tomatoes that had absolutely no taste whatsoever (perhaps you should move that item to being a seasonal menu item), rack of lamb was interesting but the meat had a ... I don't know how to describe it, a less than firm consistency, the creme brulet was merely OK this time. Certainly nowhere near as good as when we dined here in January, reasonably priced wine but $13 for an $8 at most cocktail; quite a disappointment. I spent $250 for 2 people AFTER the $25 "gift certificate"; it definitely was NOT a $250 meal. Did the kitchen have it's first team on in January and it's second team working Saturday night, 3/8/14?

The food was excellent. I had the salmon which I have never had so so moist. You could almost see the moisture dripping on it. Maybe it was from the plank, but it was awesome. My husband enjoyed his dinner, which was the veal chop. He thought it might be one big chop and was surprised to see two small little chops but enjoyed the flavor all the same. Shrimp cocktail was surprisingly good. You figure, it's shrimp, how better can it taste? The cocktail sauce was just right in spice and the shrimp had a delicious taste to them. Everything was great including our waitress, Heather. My husband was amazed at her expertise. We don't know whether she learned that at a culinary school or The Castle teaches their help the finer techniques that she displayed. Everything was superb.

Food was very overpriced and nothing special.
The multiple restrictions on the coupon will probably keep me from using the second one that I have. I wasn't able to use the coupon for the nightly special.

Very overpriced.
This was by far the best dining experience I have ever had! The atmosphere was fantastic, very romantic next to the fireplace. We toured the castle and looked at some of the bedrooms which I would love to sleep in. We only live about 45 minutes away but I would still stay over sometime. For dinner we both had lamb and it was the best we have ever had. It is difficult to fill up my fiance and he had plenty of food to eat which I was not expecting. I could hardly move after dinner! Great experience! I have told all my friends and I can't wait to do it again!!
They would only honor the certificate on their fix price meal - it did not say that on the paper so I spent ALOT more than planned.
