Great mai tai’s and taro chips. Loved the atmosphere and the Ukellele players created a wonderful backdrop for the ambiance.

We went to dinner and a show. The show was great. Our waitress was awesome and very attentive.

I love the Taro Chips and salsa! The portions are big. The food is very good. Especially the wings and Kahlua pork. I just love everything. They should do mac salad instead of coleslaw. More authentic. :D
My food was not served hot, and the chicken was chewy.
We did not realize that Wednesday was a show night with a limited fix price menu. However, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. We enjoyed the overall experience very much.

Meats tasted frozen, like something purchased at Costco. Wednesday night entertainment was cheesy. Not at all what I expected.

We felt rushed to eat our meal and the waitress took our plates and one of the guest was even done eating. She stepped out to go to the rest room and when she came back her plate was gone.

Great atmosphere as soon as you walk in. You feel like you are in Hawaii. They have low light (dim). The show was fun, informative & great!
We were the only people in the restaurant for the first 30 minutes. Our waiter was extremely attentive. Later, when others came, our waiter was still very attentive. He was helpful in making our selections too. Food was delicious!

Just seemed like the food was very mediocre and the sauces were too vinegary, spoiled the flavor of the food. Egg rolls seemed "old". I guess we were just disappointed in the food generally, and felt the check was too high for the quality.
Would be excellent but they bragged about the potstickers & after ordering 5 min later was told they ran out.

Waitresses were very attentive.. coffee refilled and water... food was yummo and lots, Both in my party took home food... That's my dinner!

Let me start by saying I Love The Tiki Terrace and am so glad that Des Plaines has such a unique dining venue. I was just a bit disappointed with last night's visit. I'm hoping this was a one-off thing, but there was only ONE server in the restaurant. The poor girl was running frantic trying to do it all – hostess, server, bartender, and likely something with food prep with how much time she spent in the kitchen. She did a fabulous job juggling it all, but service was extremely slow and the food was not as good as usual (my chicken was super dry). Luckily there was live music to help distract us from the delays. One other thing – it would have been nice if they gave me a discount on the taro chip appetizer since they were out of the pineapple salsa that usually accompanies it.
Wait staff was friendly and efficient. Will be back.

The food was not hot (I had the pulled pork) and after I sent it back it was a little warmer.
It was such a fun night!!! The show was awesome, the food was so authentic, and the drinks were very fruity and tasty.

This place is a hidden gem! You'd never know the fun times to be had by the exterior. The food was delicious - I highly recommend the taro chips and pineapple salsa. Also go on Thursday when they have live music - it's like a mini vacation!

This was a GREAT first experience. We went for my parents' 25th anniversary and the staff made us feel welcome. The food was delicious, and the service was good. Will definitely come back here to try the drinks!
We go for the atmosphere and music. The menu is also good and we all enjoyed our dinners. Love the tropical drinks as well!!!! Service was very good. Overall, an enjoyable birthday dinner.

The waitress spilled a wHole glass of Pepsi in my son's lap. Although she apologized we were not compensated at all. Not even a free drink!
The food was very good, prepared excellent and the service was a little slow. They only had one person, making drinks and taking orders and waitressing all at the same time. I would like to see the inside of the windows cleaned.
Only one server for the whole restaurant Service was slow but we were visiting with our friends. The server was trying to do a good job but hard when there were many tables and he was the bartender too

Our server messed up on our credit cards, and my daughters was charged twice and still hasn't been corrected and its been 4 days
the dinner and show were good. the appetizers we got...egg rolls and coconut shrimp were amazing. the dinner was ok but not quite as good as the appetizers and drinks

The service was very slow. There was one guy serving as the waiter, bartender, bus boy and another guy as cook. They need more employee/s to have a better service.
We love the ambience of The Tiki Terrace. Very well-themed and it takes you to Hawaii. :) The service was great, and so was the food. Get the Loco Moco!
We were not sure what to expect and the dinner was so so. Small portions of meat/fish and the sides were cole slaw and white rice, with all dishes. Pretty starchy for me, something vegetable-like would have been better. Since we didn't buy a package we had to pay extra for an appetizer and drinks. The show started almost 2 hours after we arrived and by that time we were a bit sore from sitting. I wish we knew what time the show was scheduled to start so we could have arrived much closer to that time. The show was cute. They showed some traditional Polynesian dances and threw some comedy in with the customers.The staff was very pleasant and I think except for the so so food and the long wait for the show it was a nice place to visit.

Didn't expect much when I saw it from the outside next to the Radio Shack, but as soon as we got inside, it was like we were transported to Hawaii! Our waitress told us about the show on Friday and Saturday. We'll definitely be back for that!
