Best pizza, great ribs.
The food is always great. This is a small family owned Italian pizzeria/restaurant who's on top of their game. They are more geared for delivery/carry out however eating in is always pleasant as well.
This really isn't a place to eat in. It's under construction, and while they have tables to sit at, they don't even have cups or ice...they served soda in cans. Thankfully the hostess allowed up to take our pizza home instead of eating here.
The pizza had great flavor with lots of ingredients.
Kevin (the owner) always greets us with a smile and the food is always excellent! Server could be a little more ‘present.’

Great Pizza as always (have been coming regular for last 4-5yrs. Service from the bar was lacking however and I finally went to the bar and waited for a bartender to arrive behind the bar to get some beers!
The Caesar salad I ordered was only a plain iceberg lettuce salad with Caeser dressing on the side. The waitress removed the extra charge from our bill.

Always great food
We visit wiseguys very frequently. Tonight was very disappointing. The pizza had very very little cheese. The edges had a good inch of sauce showing. We were very very upset

Everything was prepared when ordered. Worth the wait and could taste the difference compared to quick short orders.

We've had the gift certificate for years, but just got around to using it. The food was great! I wish we had come earlier! We'll definitely return.
We chose to sit in the bar since it had more ambience. Unfortunately, there was no bartender at the bar and all the tables were dirty. The bartender did eventually come out but disappeared again. We placed our order with the carry out counter since we didn't know where she went after we got our initial drink order. Most of the time we were there, no employee was present at the bar. There was a couple at the bar and another table of people having a party in the bar. Tables need to be kept clean and bar needs to be tended when customers are present. I would order carry out or delivery but not do sit down again. The main restaurant is not very inviting with it's plain tables and chairs.

We actually didnt dine in... BUT when I spoke with them on the phone they were so nice and answered all my questions and were super friendly.
We were seated in the bar area at a table. Bartender was the only one waiting on tables. Very slow service.
The waitress was young but very professional and attentive. She was helpful, engaging both thr adults and my son to ensure we were happy with everything. She was fantastic!

there was only one person working front counter and so we did not have waitress, we sat at our table waiting for a server and after 10 minutes, I finally went up to the counter and the lady was very frustrated and said she can't serve us cuz she is only one person, so we ordered our food at the front counter. The dining area was getting pretty busy too. Our appetizer of boardwalk fries were so gross and greasy. They should take that off the menu. Pizza is good as always though. Just dining service was awful.
I don't know if it's their cheese, sauce or crust but something about Wise Guy's pizza in South Elgin is FANTASTIC.

My husband has been to Wise Guys a few times and raved about the pizza, so when we had a guest from out of town, we took her there. How disappointing. Our large, thin crust pizza was delivered to us soggy in the middle (yes, we had about 4 ingredients) and also the order was incorrect. We were missing one ingredient. Our waitress was kind enough to not charge us for that one ingredient. We asked for lemon with our water. The lemon was not fresh, but mushy and warm. Not appealing at all. We had to switch tables twice (sat in back by the bar) because the tables were not level and kept tilting. It was not a very busy night, (Wed.) but it took a long time to receive this large pizza.
Food was good. Ate there and took some home.

Loved the pizza... took awhile to be served, and it seemed like it took awhile for the pizza to be served. The dining area feels a little cafeteriaish/cold... and you're not sure if you should order at the counter or just sit down (we learned when we went to the counter). Not sure how you overcome that in the current setting?

As I recall, we were there on a Wednesday, not crowded or busy. The service for drinks was very slow. When tthe pizza arrived at our table, it was room temperature. Not even close to hot, but room temperature. I thought I should call the manager/owner to let them know of our bad experience, so they could adjust. But, never did.
It was very cold in the restaurant and we were not the only ones complaining. I realize the outside temperature is cold, but they really need to figure out something for the inside. We ate with our jackets on. :-(

We ordered pizza carry-out--great pizza! We arrived almost 20 minutes ahead of the scheduled pick time, and our pizza was already boxed and sitting on the counter. I'm glad we were early!
We had sandwiches. Neither was the best, meatballs and italian beef. Warm, not hot. But we had a veggie appetizer plate and caeser salad which were fine. Will go again, but will try pizza.

Food was good. We were seated quickly and the waitress was. very good. Only issue was that my wife's pizza took too long to come out. They served people who arrived after us and that didn't feel good at all.

The thin crust pizza was not thin. It was much thicker than typical thin crust. They give a good size pizza. If you like the type and taste, it will be very filling.

I do not like that you have to order through a waitress. Why do I have to tip a waitress when I get my own drink and silverware. All the waitress does is bring you your pizza. I like it when it was Pizza Cucina and you could order at the counter and not deal with a waitress.
Pizza is good. Service is a little slow but they seem to be giving a good effort so it is no problem. Friendly, nice and very casual. I would recommend.

We always have a great time when we come to the restaurant. We made it there at the perfect time because 15 minutes later there wasn't any extra tables...whew! It was very cold in the restaurant through. I know it was because there were so many people coming into the restaurant and it was very cold outside, but just thought I would let you know.
Great food! You don't have to search for the sausage in the sausage pizza as is the case in some restraunts. Perfect thin crust.

We really like Wise Guys Pizzeria-our server seemed new or just not confident in herself in her job and I actually felt nervous for her. I have Celiac and ordered the GF pizza and the only issue was that when the food was brought out the "normal" pizza was put on the stand and the server put the GF one right below it and it might have been a crumb or two on there. So maybe just understand how that could be dangerous to a person to celiac. Overall very good and we will be back.
Crispy crust pizza was great. The kids enjoyed the Magic Man with the balloons.

We had a new waitress who needs better training: No plates with appetizer, Asked us if we wanted plates %26 silverware for pizza - should just be provided, not asked about, Didn't know what 'merlot' is. She tried hard and did fine with what she knew, but should be better trained before serving alone.

A pizza ordered over an hour ahead has at times not been ready for an additional 25 minutes. Monday night is busy, but that is still an inconvenience when ordering ahead. Dined in not long ago, had ribs and shrimp pasta, and both were very good with prompt courteous service.

I was a little surprised at the people at the table nest to ours they thought the waitress was there to be at their beck and call and it seemed like they would keep thinking of things for her to get them including their refills on drinks one at a time. If they knew her and thought they were funny they were not some how some of the rest of us thought they were jerks and rude.

I was taking my grandkids out to eat for my grandson's birthday. They live in South Elgin and I searched for something in that area. It was a great choice. We loved all the food. My only negative comment is that when I was on their website to view the menu, prices were not listed for anything. I almost didn't purchase because I thought it might be too expensive.

The stablishent has two door on either side of the building. Every time we go there, its very cold. They need to turn up the heat. Otherwise, great place for pizza.

The food was outstanding and very reasonable.
We had to wait a little bit before we were greeted. The spaghetti sauce was soupy and their sauce for their linguini with broccoli and shrimp was bland.
My husband and I had lasagna. It was delicious and large in size. Everyone else had individual size pizzas so they could have what they wanted. It was like they had presized pizza dough because it was a bit thick and not cooked all the way. Those pizzas had also burnt edges. We got there at 5:30 on a Sat night which was good. We were the first ones there. The place got crowded quickly and everyone else had quite a long wait for their food.
Pizza was good...service was great. One of the pasta dishes we had wasn't very good but we would go back for the pizza.

I have used these gift certificates from pizza cucina before and when I walked into the restaurant this past time, the woman behind the counter said we had to go up there to order, when before there was always someone there to take our order, there were 3 women working that day and I do not like how we had to pay for gratituity when we had to go get our drinks and order by the counter. Also, when we were eatting, there was a family that walked in and sure enough they got there order taken at the table, they didn't have to walk up and order.
Atmosphere is very nice. I enjoyed the mural on the wall. Pizza crust was VERY good. We will come back again. Thanks!

Had a big party in so we we're lucky to get last table. Quite noisier than expescted.
It didn't have many customers that night but it still took a long time to get our food. Don't go there if you are in a hurry.

PC is a super casual pizzeria- meaning few frills when dining in, however the pizza makes up for it every time and everyone who works there is really friendly. They have other really yummy items too.

Howey, as usual was great and his waitress was also very nice and attentive. Food was good but breadsticks seemed to have changed for the worse. Still ok, however not the same as before. Also seemed a little pricer than I remember. Pizza in general seems to be too expensive

Pizza was overcooked. crust was hard to cut through and eat, and 50% of it was burnt. Waiter was not receptive when I complained.

We regularly go to or order from another Pizza Cucina. We have liked everything except the dine in due to loud noises made by chairs being pushed in or pulled out. Because of this we started doing mostly carry out. We saw the coupon offer and decided to try this one even if a little father away. Much better dine in experience. We plan to make the effort to visit this one more often.
The wait time for pizza is very long. Other than that, everything is excellent.
On one occasion, the Calzone was burned on the bottom. Another time, the woman missed part of our order and later when we asked about it, she charged us. This was fair but was disappointing as our expectations were set that we paid for all of the food we asked for and we were on a budget. Another visit, the wings looked like boiled wings and had not browning to them at all. We sent them out.
